How SkoolZoom handles personal data, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 28 August 2026
SkoolZoom is a school management platform. Institutions use it to hold records about their students, families and staff. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
There are two distinct relationships, and the difference matters:
If you are a parent or student asking about your own records, your institution is the right first contact: they decide what is held and for how long.
Necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Analytics, functional and marketing cookies are optional.
Where the law requires prior consent, which includes the EU, EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, those optional cookies stay off until you allow them and we ask before setting any. Elsewhere they are on by default and you may turn them off at any time by contacting us at info@skoolzoom.com.
Declining optional cookies does not restrict any part of this site.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, email delivery and payment processing, and only what each needs. Where you have allowed marketing cookies, we may send a hashed, non-reversible identifier to advertising platforms to measure whether a campaign worked. Without that consent, nothing is sent.
Data is held on managed infrastructure with access controls, encryption in transit and regular backups. Where data is transferred across borders, we apply safeguards appropriate to the transfer.
If your institution is subject to data residency rules, contact us before purchase so we can tell you plainly whether we can meet them today. We would rather lose a sale than agree to a requirement we cannot honour.
Enquiry and lead records are kept while the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted or anonymised. Analytics events are kept in aggregate. Data your institution stores in the platform is retained per its agreement with us and deleted on request when that agreement ends.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Write to info@skoolzoom.com and we will respond within the period your law requires.
Access is restricted to staff who need it, transport is encrypted, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but if a breach affects you, we will tell you.
This website is aimed at institutions, not children. Student records inside the platform belong to the institution, which is responsible for the consent and safeguarding rules that apply to them.
If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and, where the change affects you, tell you directly.
